When there is so much in this world to do. so much going on. I find it hard to be ok living in such a geographically isolated place. Is this place a selfish place to live?

Living on a boat. a traveling home. sailing from Croatia to Greece. in a blue white and red boat. on a day on the Isalnd of Lefkas, between Nidri and Lefkada, I happened upon quite a few of these shrines. On closer inspection they contain olive oil bottles, trinkets, paintings of the gilded mother and child, and various other personal little trinkets. perhaps they are at a crash site, and are for the deceased?
IN any case, they were a sweet yet strong reminder of the cathoic influence in Greece, and their devotion to their families...

I am one of the luckiest people to have grown up in Christchurch, New Zealand. Sometimes I don't realise how much I have been shaped by my culture.....this is also quite true when it comes to the fact of spending most of my twenties so far living in the States....
